More than two years ago, Xiaomi introduced the "clever" lamp Yeelight Bedside Lamp. As already mentioned in the review, the device was much lacking the ability to manage via the Internet. Only now the company decided to fix this flaw by adding Wi-Fi support to the updated model.

What changed?

Xiaomi released a lamp under its own brand Mijia. Compared to the original model, it became slightly smaller, and the lower part of the metal is now painted in gold. The top uses a translucent glossy plastic from LG Chem. Inside is still the Osram LED module, which allows you to adjust the color temperature from 1700K to 6500K, as well as choose any of the 16 million colors available. You can change these parameters and brightness using the touch element on the top face.

In the predecessor, it was controlled using a connected smartphone within the range of receiving a Bluetooth signal. Thanks to the Wi-Fi module, you can now do this in an application on any mobile device and anywhere - synchronization will happen through the network. The integration with the Mi Band fitness bracelets has not gone anywhere. Supported and voice control via a smart column Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker, but this will have to learn Chinese.

How much is?

Price Mijia Bedside Lamp in the Chinese market has not changed and is 249 yuan, which is equivalent to $ 38 at the current exchange rate. Sales of new items have already begun, so that soon the lamp will get to our edges.
