Smartisan Nut R1: the world's first smartphone with a terabyte of memory
The Chinese brand Smartisan has announced the flagship smartphone Nut R1 with thin screen frames, but it's not even his main chip. In the top configuration, the gadget is equipped with a UFS 2.1 drive with a record volume of 1 terabyte.
What kind of beast?
Almost the entire front panel Smartisan Nut R1 occupies a 6.17-inch display with a resolution of 2242x1080 pixels (aspect ratio of 18.7: 9) and a small cutout for the front camera, which does not even pull a bang. Judging by the official images, the top panel by default is made black. Inside the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor is used. RAM 6 or 8 gigabytes, built-in 64 or 128 gigabytes, as well as the maximum 1 TB in the most expensive version:
If anyone has not guessed right, sixteen iPhone X on 64 GB
The rear dual camera includes a basic 12-megapixel module (Sony IMX363) with f / 1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel fast focusing technology and optical stabilization. The second module is 20 megapixel (Sony IMX350) with optics f / 1.75. Front camera with 24 megapixels. A circle with a logo on the back is a fingerprint scanner, it also supports unlocking "on the face".
On both sides the case is covered with glass, and the frame is made of aviation aluminum. In the case of dimensions 153.3x74.5x7.9 mm and weighing 170 grams, a battery with a capacity of 3600 mAh is hidden. It supports quick charging of Quick Charge 4 via USB Type-C port and wireless charging. There is a dual-band Wi-Fi and an NFC chip. Memory cards are not supported - only a dual SIM tray is available. Sorry, there is no moisture protection.
Question price
Smartisan Nut R1 is already available in China, the prices are as follows:
- $ 540 per 6/64 GB version
- $ 630 - 6/128 GB
- $ 705 - almost the top with 8/128 GB
- $ 1390 for the flagship with 8 GB of RAM and a terabyte drive.
Two medium versions are available in white, the standard color for all is black with a thin red and gold strip on the center of the frame. Since Smartisan is oriented to the domestic market, it will be problematic to buy a novelty (and whether it is worth it, given the absence of even a hint of global firmware).
Another Chinese premium flagship Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS in the top version with 512 GB of memory costs 2100 euros. Expensive, but without cutouts .
