Apple Original Films and Skydance have decided to join forces again after the success of "The Family Plan" with Mark Wahlberg, this time to create an adventure project called "Fountain of Youth", which will be directed by Guy Ritchie. John Krasinski and Natalie Portman are set to star in the lead roles.

Here's What We Know

Skydance Media will act as the studio and the film will be produced for Apple Skydance, Vinson Films and Project X Entertainment. The screenplay is written by James Vanderbilt.

"Fountain of Youth" became a high-priority project for Skydance after the studio received a script from Vanderbilt that sources say "wowed executives." But the studio was only willing to take on the job if it had a great team.

Ritchie, one of the busiest directors, had been considering the project since the spring, and Krasinski also expressed interest around the same time. However, certain circumstances forced a postponement of the start of production. After resolving all the issues, both parties confirmed their participation, and the delay "played into the hands" of the project and gave the opportunity to invite Portman to the project, as her schedule became freer in early 2024.

Filming is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of this year.

Here's What The Movie Is About

The film is about a separated brother and sister (Krasinski and Portman) who team up for a world heist to discover the mythical "Fountain of Youth". They must use their knowledge of history to find the clues they need during their adventure, which will change their lives and possibly lead to immortality.

When We Can Expect It

"Fountain of Youth" has not yet been given a release date.
