Atlus says porting Persona 3 Reload to Nintendo Switch is 'not a priority', but it 'has an idea'
Last year, a remake of Persona - Persona 3 Reload - was announced, which will be available on all current platforms except Nintendo Switch. The fact that the game is not available on the Japanese handheld, which already has a bunch of Atlus games, upset many fans, although the developers say that porting the game to Switch is not a priority, although "the idea is there".
Here's What We Know
In an interview with Atomix, director Takuya Yamaguchi and game producer Ryota Niitsuma said:
"Since we started conceptualizing everything that was coming in Persona 3 Reload, we decided that there would be no version for the Nintendo Switch. Of course, the idea is there, but it’s a matter of discussing it with the team and seeing what they think about it and we’ll see what happens.".
The studio has another big release in 2024 that will not be available on Swicth - Metaphor: ReFantazio. This may be due to the fact that Nintendo is rumoured to be preparing its new console, which is due to be released in the second half of 2024, so Atlus is simply waiting for this new platform to release its new games on the old console, which is nearing the end of its life cycle.
Where To Play
Persona 3 Reload is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
When We Can Expect It
The game is scheduled for release on the 2nd of February.
