Drops, sand and a drill: the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra passed the durability test
Last week, Samsung unveiled its new flagships Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. But only one of them, namely the Galaxy S24 Ultra, got a sturdy titanium frame and new Gorilla Glass Armor glass on the front and back, which is 4 times stronger. The authors of the YouTube channel PBKreviews decided to check it out and test the smartphone for durability.
Here's What We've Seen
First, the gadget was dropped on the floor from the height of a person's waist, imitating falling out of a pocket. And threw several times: on the screen, on the back panel and sideways. Galaxy S24 Ultra passed this test quite well - with small scratches and chips on the screen and body, but no serious damage.
Next, a tool like a drill with a sanding disc was used to test the titanium frame. No doubt the material was damaged, but again, not critically.
Finally, the protective glass on the screen coped with the scattered sand: it still had micro-scratches, but it didn't affect performance in any way.
