Bloomberg: Apple has delayed the release of the car until 2028, the novelty will not be fully autonomous
The internet has already been abuzz with information that Apple is working on a company car. Now Bloomberg journalist and insider Mark Gurman has shared some new details about the project.
Here's What We Know
According to the insider, the corporation originally planned to make the Apple Car fully autonomous, but eventually abandoned the idea. Now the electric car is being developed with simpler features. For example, Apple Car is likely to get a level 2+ autopilot, like Tesla. That is, the car will be able to move independently on the roads, thrust and park without the help of the driver.
It is also known that Apple decided not to hurry with the release of the novelty. The car should not be expected in 2026. The car will probably be shown in 2028. By the way, Gurman believes that now is a turning point for the Apple Car project. If the company can not release an electric car with such a set of features, the management may reconsider the project or close it altogether.
