The Towerborne action-adventure game is being developed in such a way that the developer can "quickly fill" the game with new content
Among the many exclusives for Microsoft consoles that will be released this year, Towerborne by Stoic Studio is a dark horse. This is a side-scrolling hack-and-slash rogue game with elements of an online multiplayer game set in a fantasy world where humanity is fighting for survival. One of the most interesting elements of the game is the changing nature of the world. The developers said that the game will have a seasonal approach with frequent content additions after the release.
Here's What We Know
In a conversation with GamesRadar, Arnie Jorgensen, co-founder of the development studio, compared the world map to a "confectionery for players". Having worked on MMOs such as Star Wars Galaxies, he believes that the ability to "get feedback from players and then nimbly respond with updates that legitimately change the game" is the "Holy Grail of development."
"From the ground up, the map is designed to be highly modifiable by the developers so we can quickly seed it with new enemies, bosses, crafting components, gear, weapons, biomes, gameplay modes and more.".
Where To Play
Towerborne will be available on Xbox Series and PC.
When We Can Expect It
The exact release date of the game is currently unknown.
