Apple has acknowledged a false touch issue on the Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2
It looks like the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 that came out last autumn are having problems with their displays.
Here's What We Know
Some users have started complaining about false touches: the watch screen performs some actions, although no one has even touched it. Sometimes this can become a serious problem, as the watch itself makes calls and does not allow you to enter the device password.
Apple is aware of this problem and is investigating it. The company has sent an internal memo to authorised service providers urging them not to repair affected Apple Watch models while it investigates. In the meantime, technicians are advised to ask customers who experience the issue to force reboot their Apple Watch.
The manufacturer is also recommending that customers update the software of their Apple Watch. That is, it looks like the company is going to address the false touches issue in a future watchOS update.
When the update will be released and how widespread the problem is - Apple did not specify.
