Google may build Gemini AI into Chrome
Google is enhancing the capabilities of its web browser by adding unique artificial intelligence functionality. The new feature, known as "Chat with Gemini", is being tested at the Canary level and may soon become available to all users.
This innovation will allow Chrome users to communicate with Gemini AI directly from the browser address bar, providing quick access to artificial intelligence to answer questions, create images, and other tasks. To activate this feature, users need to follow several steps through a manual extension, but it is likely to become available as a system update in the future.
Several competing browsers have already implemented their own AI chatbot integration. Microsoft has its Copilot chatbot connected to its Edge browser through a direct collaboration with OpenAI. Browser company Opera has several variants of its browser with AI and features, including the flagship Opera One and the gaming version Opera GX.
