Ukraine will receive 36 additional 155 mm artillery pieces from Germany in the coming years.

Here's What We Know

The new package of German military assistance worth €1.13 billion includes 18 PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems and 18 units of the latest RCH 155. In addition to the delivery of the vehicles, Germany will provide crew training, supplies of equipment and ammunition.

The German government has indicated that 18 more PzH 2000 howitzers will be delivered to Ukraine in 2026 and 2027 in addition to the existing 14. In addition to the 18 RCH 155s ordered earlier, the German government will supply an additional batch of 18 of the same self-propelled artillery systems from 2025 to 2027.

In addition, as part of its military assistance, Germany will for the first time provide Ukraine with artillery shells of the Soviet 122 mm calibre. It is planned that in 2024, the Armed Forces will receive 120,000 of these munitions.
