Ukraine seeks to block Starlink for Russians at the front
The Ukrainian authorities have asked Elon Musk's SpaceX to find a solution and block Starlink, which the Russians illegally purchased to use at the front.
Here's What We Know
Starlink terminals were delivered to Ukraine immediately after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. They are very important for maintaining communication on the battlefield by Ukrainian defenders, and for a long time, the Russians did not have them. However, they have recently started to buy terminals on a massive scale through private companies.
At the same time, SpaceX has reiterated that it has no relations with the Russian government.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov told Suspilne that the Ukrainian government had been communicating with the company to resolve this issue even before it became known that the Russians had started using Starlink.
"We found this algorithm and offered it. More precisely, SpaceX has already done something similar with the Israeli government," Fedorov explained.
