Samsung has released an update for Game Booster that improves the performance of Genshin Impact game on Galaxy S24
Samsung's Game Booster app is designed to optimise smartphone performance and battery life by monitoring device temperature and power consumption through what Samsung calls the Game Optimisation Service (GOS). However, while the automatic optimisation provided by Game Booster is fine for most users, it does not allow Samsung Galaxy smartphones to offer better performance in some games as it monitors temperature and battery life by adjusting the processor and graphics core.
Here's What We Know
When it was discovered that Game Optimisation Service (GOS) did not limit performance in benchmarks, Samsung was heavily criticised by some users, prompting the company to add an alternative game performance management system that adjusts the CPU and GPU less aggressively and allows the game to run at higher frame rates for longer.
However, in the Galaxy S24 series, it was discovered that the popular Genshin Impact game was running at the same frame rate regardless of whether GOS was enabled or disabled. Samsung recently acknowledged the bug and it seems the company already has a fix, which it has included in the latest update for the Game Booster app.
This update is available on the Galaxy Store. Though it seems to be limited to very few markets at the moment. That should change in the coming days and Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra owners may have to update their phones to the latest firmware version before the Game Booster app update becomes available.
