The Xiaomi 14 Ultra made its debut today at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, where all the major details about the device are now known. Right after the official global announcement, the white Chinese Xiaomi 14 Ultra has already been unveiled and analysed in a detailed video published on YouTube channel WekiHome.
Here's What We Know
The unboxing video shows the individual components and highlights key updates over its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Notable improvements include replacement components such as the Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor, which features an infinitely variable aperture, enhancing the device's camera capabilities.
The video also demonstrates the camera components in detail, accompanied by examples of photos taken with the new Leica camera. In addition, the updated photography kit can now be used as a charger and has more hardware buttons than its predecessor. Comparison photos also show the progress in long-range zoom photography, achieved thanks to ASIP's "Ultra-Zoom" function.
After examining the components, a battery test was conducted. It showed that the device's 5,300mAh battery can be charged at a maximum of 73.6W via the USB-C port, reaching a full charge in just 41 minutes.
Performance tests of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based flagship, especially in gaming scenarios, show that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra keeps the temperature and power consumption within acceptable limits in most games. However, Genshin Impact proves to be a tougher test in some cases.
The video also shows the assembly process of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, giving a glimpse into the process of assembling the device after a thorough disassembly with testing or repair.
Overall, the disassembly and testing video provides a comprehensive look at the features and performance of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as well as reinforcing the purchase intent for those who want to purchase it in the future.
