Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 may come with a reduced price
The closer we get to the official announcement of the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, the more information about them appears. Today it became known about the expected start of sales in Europe. Now there is a leak about the prices of the devices and they seem to be lower than expected.
How Much Does It Cost?
According to SamMobile, Samsung will price the Galaxy A55 variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of permanent storage at €479 in Europe. The variant with 8 + 256GB of storage will cost €529 at launch. The Galaxy A35 will reportedly cost €379 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while its 8GB + 256GB variant will cost €449.
Last year, the Galaxy A54 debuted with a price tag of €490 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. Its larger memory version (8GB + 256GB) was priced at €550 in Europe. For the Galaxy A34, Samsung charged €390 and €460 respectively. If the pricing rumours for the 2024 models are true, prices are expected to drop to €20 in Europe this year.
The prices look more attractive when you consider the upgrades offered by the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. In particular, the former will get a metal frame (the Galaxy A54 has a plastic frame), while the latter will move from a drop-cut display to an Infinity-O design. Samsung will also update the internals, including the camera.
Leaks have already revealed that the Galaxy A55 will feature an Exynos 1480 chipset with graphics developed by Samsung in collaboration with AMD. The Galaxy A35, on the other hand, will use the Exynos 1380 SoC from the Galaxy A54. It may also borrow the 50-megapixel primary rear camera from the 2023 model. Both phones will feature a Key Island design with a bezel protrusion around the power and volume buttons.
