Realme 12 5G will add an Apple-style "Dynamic Button" feature to Realme 12 5G
Realme is gearing up to launch its Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G devices in India on 6 March. Ahead of the launch, Realme has revealed a unique feature for the Realme 12 5G model - 'Dynamic Button' with customisable functionality.
Here's What We Know
Apparently, this will be the phone's power button that can be programmed for various quick actions. The teaser image suggests that the button can be used to control functions such as camera shutter, torch, silent mode, airplane mode and do not disturb mode. This Dynamic Button concept is reminiscent of Apple's Action Button, a feature that is so far only available on the more expensive iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.
Realme has a history of introducing design elements and features seen in Apple's iPhones. For example, its budget Narzo N53 has an iPhone-like camera module, while the Realme C53 introduced the "Mini Capsule" feature, visually similar to Apple's Dynamic Island.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone recently appeared in the Geekbench database. There it was indicated that the smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. Apparently, the model will get a 5,000mAh battery and a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the rear.
Details about the Realme 12 5G are still scarce, but this and the older Realme 12+ 5G model are already available for pre-order from 29 February. As the 6 March launch date approaches, Realme will gradually reveal more information about the Realme 12 5G and its new Dynamic Button feature.
