Rheinmetall in Spain receives €300 million for the production of advanced missiles
The Spanish branch of the German concern Rheinmetall has signed a €300 million contract to produce the latest missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometres for the SILAM missile system.

The missiles will be manufactured in Spain in 2024-2027. The agreement also includes "additional services and other systems" in addition to missile production.
However, neither the number of units to be produced nor the type of missiles is known yet.
The contract for the production of SILAM systems was signed at the end of 2023, and the deal was worth €700 million at the time. It is expected that 12 launchers, 12 transport and reloading vehicles, two evacuation vehicles, six reconnaissance vehicles, and 10 command and control vehicles for firing control will enter service by 2025.
