Boeing Starliner capsule flight to ISS postponed again
After many years of waiting and delays, the planned flight of a Boeing Starliner capsule to the International Space Station (ISS) has been postponed once again.
Here's What We Know
The Starliner programme, which has been serving tech enthusiasts for more than 25 years, has faced numerous technical and engineering challenges over the years. Nevertheless, it was planned that the first flight of the capsule with the crew would take place in April. However, it has been announced that the mission has been postponed for another month due to conflicts with the space station's schedule.
The planned flight will use a United Launch Alliance rocket and will deliver two astronauts to the ISS for a short period of time. They will then return to Earth within one to two weeks. The Starliner programme has problems, and even if they can be solved, it is not a success compared to SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsules.
NASA plans to hold three press conferences for the mission on 22 March to discuss the goals and plans for the flight, as well as to interview the astronauts. The conferences will be available to watch live on NASA+ or on NASA's website.
