The developer Terminatorul found a solution and modified the motherboard's UEFI.

Here's What We Know

Engineers have taken old Nvidia GPUs to the next level and introduced the NvStrapsReBar modification, which adds support for a variable panel size (ReBAR) for RTX 20 and GTX 16 series graphics cards. ReBAR is an important feature supported by Nvidia and AMD, but not available in older models.

Features such as ReBAR are activated through a file in your graphics card's BIOS. The main program, known as vBIOS, is responsible for the functioning of the card and establishing communication with the motherboard. It also stores certain parameters, such as the maximum clock speed of the GPU.

Modifying the BIOS file allows you to activate the ReBAR (Resizable BAR) feature on older graphics cards. It allows you to use this feature without having to edit the graphics card hardware. This can be convenient because modifying the BIOS file can be less vulnerable to errors.

Flashback

ReBAR is a technology that allows a graphics card to use more system memory (RAM) to access data, which can improve performance in some cases.

The process involves copying a file and adding the ReBAR driver to it, after which you need to update the BIOS on your motherboard. Despite being an advanced mod, there are certain nuances to it, such as the need to disable ReBAR when replacing the GPU and flashing the BIOS.

Although there is no official support for ReBAR from Nvidia, this mod works and receives positive feedback from users. You can download the mod from GitHub, but be aware of the possible risk of misuse, which can lead to damage to your motherboard. Therefore, only use it if you are confident and willing to take the risk.
