Following the US, Denmark also announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the Ministry of Defence of the country. The new aid package is worth 2.3bn kronor or $336m. It includes self-propelled artillery units Caesar. They are planned to be purchased from France. It is not yet known how many systems we are talking about. Earlier France said that it would produce 78 units for the AFU: 12 of them will be paid for by the French side and 6 systems will be bought by Ukraine on its own. The rest should be purchased by partners.

By the way, in addition to self-propelled artillery units Caesar, Denmark will also buy for Ukraine self-propelled 120-mm mortars and ammunition for artillery. There is no information yet on when the arms deliveries will start.

Flashback

Caesar is a French 155 mm self-propelled artillery unit designed to destroy manpower, artillery batteries, bunkers, as well as to provide passages in minefields and field barriers. The maximum range of fire is 42 km (depends on the projectile). The machine is capable of firing 6 rounds per minute. It is operated by a crew of 4-5 people. By the way, Ukraine has been using Caesar since the beginning of the full-scale war.
