Anthropic has released Claude 3 Haiku, the latest artificial intelligence model in the Claude 3 family, aimed at delivering high speed and availability to enterprise customers.

Here's What We Know

Claude 3 Haiku is positioned as the fastest and most affordable model in its class. It is capable of processing up to 21,000 tokens (about 30 pages) per second for requests of less than 32,000 tokens. This allows companies to analyse large amounts of data, such as reports and contracts, in a fraction of the time required by other models.

In addition to speed, Haiku offers advanced visual data processing capabilities, including charts, graphs and photos, which opens up new perspectives for enterprise applications that depend on visual data.

According to Anthropic co-founder Daniela Amodei, Haiku will be a great choice for response time-sensitive scenarios such as customer support or internal chat systems. At the same time, the more powerful Claude 3 Opus and Sonnet models would be better suited for complex technical research and development.

In creating the Haiku, Anthropic has emphasised enterprise-grade security and reliability, including rigorous testing, system monitoring and strict access controls to minimise risk.

Claude 3 Haiku is already available through Anthropic's API, for Claude Pro subscribers, and in Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud Vertex AI cloud environments, expanding its availability to enterprises worldwide.
