Spotify will launch a new Countdown Pages feature for audiobooks in April

Spotify has announced the launch of a new feature for audiobooks - Countdown Pages. The feature, which has already proven successful for music releases, will allow Spotify users to "pre-save" audiobooks ahead of their release date.

Authors and publishers will be able to promote their new works before they launch. Once an audiobook is pre-saved, a countdown to its launch will be visible above it. When the book is released, Spotify will notify users to let them know they can start listening to it. Thanks to "Countdown Pages," Spotify users will be able to search for titles on the streaming service as soon as they are announced. After next month's update, a "Pre-save" button will appear on the pages of books that have yet to be released. In addition, a "More like this" tab will show users similar already released books that they can start listening to immediately. "Countdown Pages" for Spotify will be available in all markets where audiobooks are available starting in mid-April.
