Google Meet filters for face retouching are now on the desktop
Google has announced the launch of face retouching filters in its Google Meet web app.
Here's What We Know
These filters, which were previously only available on mobile devices, are now available for users to use during video conferencing on computers.
Consumers can choose from two different filters: "subtle" or "subtle" and "smoothing" or "smoothing". The first one applies a very light complexion, under-eye brightening, and eye whitening, while the second one makes these effects less noticeable.
According to Google, the innovation is intended to slightly correct the appearance, but without radical changes. Users can enable the retouching function by selecting "Apply visual effects" in Google Meet settings.
However, access to this feature will be limited and available only for the paid version in certain plans, such as Business Standard, Enterprise Essentials, Education Plus, and others. Google One and Google Workspace Individual subscribers will also have access to portrait retouching.
