The research company Omdia recently announced its new prediction about Apple's new products that are expected in the near future and within a few years.

Here's What We Know

We have already heard that in the next few weeks Apple should introduce new models of iPad Pro tablets, which will be equipped with OLED-displays.

Omdia specialists are sure that iPad Air tablets will also switch to OLED screens. Only if earlier the first such models were expected in 2026, now the terms are postponed to 2028. ""In 2028, we expect the iPad Air to go OLED as well, with the iPad Air using single-stack and the iPad Pro using two-stack tandem OLEDs"", - told a spokesperson for the company.

This means that the iPad Pro will get a display made of two light-emitting layers stacked together. This design offers the same level of brightness, but with significantly lower power consumption and longer lifespan.

At the same time, Apple is working on two non-OLED versions of the iPad Air, with screen diagonals of 10.9 and 12.9 inches, similar to the two sizes of the iPad Pro. They should debut this month alongside the new iPad Pro.

In addition, the research firm is leaning towards Apple introducing a foldable device with a flexible OLED display around 7-8 inches diagonal between 2026 and 2027. This tablet could eventually replace the 8.3-inch iPad mini.
