Zuni air missiles and M114A1 howitzers: Greece to hand over new military aid package to Ukraine

The Greek government is preparing a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

• 2,000 Zuni air missiles
• 180 rockets of 70 mm calibre
• 90,000 90mm shells
• 4 million rounds of ammunition for sterling weapons.

In addition, Greece will send Ukraine 70 American M114A1 155 mm howitzers. There is no information yet on when the arms deliveries will start.

The M114A1 is an American 155 mm heavy howitzer. It entered service in 1942. The howitzer was designed to provide fire support for infantry and army units. The M114A1 has good manoeuvrability and high firepower due to its calibre and range. It can be used both in firing batteries and as a self-propelled artillery unit. Due to its reliability and effectiveness on the battlefield, modernised versions of this howitzer are still in use in many armies around the world.
