Apple wants to integrate Google's Gemini artificial intelligence engine into the iPhone.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. Apple is already in talks with Google. If everything works out, Gemini could become part of the iPhone with the release of iOS 18 this autumn. Gemini could bring new text and image generation features to Apple's smartphones.

Regardless, Apple is not abandoning its own generative AI development. Most likely, the proprietary technology will be shown together with iOS 18. Apple's AI will work locally on devices and without data transfer. As for Gemini, it will be responsible for processing information on the Internet.

Incidentally, apart from Google, Apple is also in talks with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into the iPhone.

Flashback

Gemini is an advanced neural network developed by Google DeepMind for text generation and natural language understanding. It uses deep learning technologies and techniques to analyse and generate text data. The model is highly accurate and has the ability to reproduce the structure and style of natural language. Gemini is applied in various fields such as automatic text review, content generation, machine translation and more.
