Tom Henderson has revealed additional technical details about the PlayStation 5 Pro

A few days ago we wrote about the technical specifications and the expected release date of the PS5 Pro console, which were revealed by Moore's Law Is Dead blogger.

Authoritative insider Tom Henderson immediately confirmed the information of his colleague, but now he slightly expanded it.

Here's What We Know

Tom Henderson shared important information about the technical parameters of the PlayStation 5 Pro.

According to his data, the console of the intermediate generation, the manufacturer will provide:

  • a processor identical to the one installed in the base version of the PS5, but it will have a high frequency mode, which will increase the CPU figures to 3.85 GHz, which is 10% more than the regular version, but the GPU figures will be reduced by about 1%.
  • Sony engineers will increase the PS5 Pro's RAM bandwidth by 28 per cent: 576GB per second instead of 448GB (PS5). Henderson is confident that the improved console will be able to utilise RAM even more efficiently, so the performance increase could exceed the announced 28%;
  • PS5 Pro will have 1TB of memory.

Henderson stressed that, as he previously reported, for PlayStation 5 Pro will be sold separately and removable disc drive, which is identical in principle and characteristics to the stationary.

When We Can Expect It

Insiders and analysts agree that the sale of the PlayStation 5 Pro console will start shortly before the Christmas holidays.
