Redmi Note 13 Turbo / Poco F6 is likely to get a new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip

Redmi is working on a new Note 13 series phone for the Chinese market. The series already features several models including the Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13R and Redmi Note 13R Pro. The upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo is expected to be the most powerful phone in the series as it will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.

Here's What We Know

Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset in March 2023 in China. A renamed version of the phone, the Poco F5, was announced for the global market in May 2023. The upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which will be released for China, will reportedly be repackaged as the Poco F6 for the global market.

Qualcomm has today already announced a new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, which is said to be a lightweight version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Initial reports suggested that the Note 13 Turbo might use Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, as the Note 12 Turbo used Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. However, today, the official Redmi page on Weibo has revealed that the upcoming smartphones in the Redmi line-up will get the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. We might be talking about the Note 13 Turbo as well.

Also, a leak from whistleblower Smart Pikachu too says that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip will power the Note 13 Turbo. Now that it is known that the Note 13 Turbo will come with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the Poco F6, being its renamed version, might have the same chip. It might be coming in April or May in the global market. In the Chinese market, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo will compete with other Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered phones like the iQOO Z9 Turbo and the Realme GT Neo 6.
