Fitbit's health chatbot will be available later this year
Google has announced the launch of a new Fitbit chatbot aimed at improving users' health.
Here's What We Know
This initiative will be a part of the company's broader strategy to use artificial intelligence in the field of medical technologies.
Fitbit Labs, as part of Fitbit, will release a generative artificial intelligence tool that will allow wearers to analyse their health data and receive personalised advice. The chatbot in the Fitbit mobile app will be able to answer users' questions in natural language and create data graphs.
Although the details of the Fitbit chatbot's functionality are not yet fully known, examples show that it will be a useful tool for Fitbit wearers for health. For example, it will be able to analyse the relationship between activity and sleep quality.
It is noted that the Fitbit chatbot will be available to Fitbit Premium owners only on Android devices that are registered in the Fitbit Labs programme.
Google is also expanding the capabilities of its Google Lens tool in the field of medicine, as well as enhancing visual search for disease results online.
