Hades is one of the best roguelite games (and also one of the best games of 2020). Previously, it was only available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Now, Hades has reached iOS, but with one peculiarity.

Here's What We Know

If you have an iPhone or iPad with iOS 16 or later and want to play Hades, you'll need a Netflix subscription. The game can be downloaded for free from the AppStore and will take up 3.7 GB of space, but without an active basic Netflix subscription, you won't be able to go beyond the main menu of the game.

The game supports cloud saving, as well as touch controls and Bluetooth gamepads.

Flashback

In Hades, the player takes on the role of Zagrei, the prince of the underworld and son of Hades, who wants to leave his father and forget about this place. The game immediately attracts attention with its setting: Greek mythology in a bright wrapper. On your way, you will meet the entire pantheon of gods: Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, Hades, and many others. They joke, tell interesting stories, teach us, and give us valuable items. The game takes only a few hours to communicate with all of them, and they are not depicted in the same way as in films or other games.

The gameplay is also interesting. You can unlock several types of weapons: a bow, a sword, a shield, a spear, and more. Different skills, items, and locations that change every time add variability, and it's up to you to decide what style you want to go through the hell. In most locations, you'll have to fight different types of enemies, and almost every battle is so intense that you won't have time to rest, especially when you have to defeat a boss. It gets really hot out there. And a great soundtrack will maintain this atmosphere.

Just keep in mind that you will have to die and start from the beginning more than a dozen times throughout the game.
