Despite the fact that Google Pixel smartphones have appeared relatively recently and are not yet as popular as smartphones from Apple and Samsung, but nevertheless Google is moving in the right direction, as the share of sales of Google Pixel smartphones continues to grow.

Here's What We Know

The latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC) states that the market share of Google Pixel smartphones in the US is approaching 5%. This is a significant increase from 3.6% in 2022 and just 1% in 2021. Even though the total smartphone shipments in the US in 2023 fell by 6.9%, Google was able to increase its share despite the fact that the number of phones shipped fell by 13.6% compared to 2022.

This makes Google a new player in the top five of the US market and the only Android OEM in this group that was able to increase its market share in 2023. If the company can continue its growth, it may be able to reach significant heights. However, whether Google will ever be able to compete with Apple or Samsung is still an open question.
