In recent years, NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel have been actively working on image scaling technology that generates frames to increase fps. However, for some time, enabling scaling in games sometimes led to artefacts or just a "soapy" picture, which made high fps no longer a joy. But progress does not stand still, and AMD has introduced FSR 3.1, which should be much better than the previous version.

Here's What We Know

FSR 3.1 has improved image quality when scaling. There should be fewer "artefacts", especially in motion, but the detail should be better preserved. FSR 3.1 can also work seamlessly with other scaling solutions.

AMD FSR 3.1 will be available for developers in Q2 2024, and will be available in games later this year.

The first game to support AMD FSR 3.1 will be Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The game will take full advantage of the updated technology.

The difference between FSR 2.2 and 3.1 in Ratchet & Clank

We would like to remind you that FSR 3 technology is currently available in such games as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Farming Simulator 22, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, REMNANT II, Starfield, The Last of Us Part I, The Thaumaturge, and others, and this list will be expanded over time.
