Publisher Ubisoft and Tencent Corporation have long been working on a joint project - an ambitious mobile game Assassin's Creed Jade in the setting of Ancient China.

The developers have not announced a release date for the game, but it was expected to be released in 2024.

Perhaps those expectations are in vain.

Here's What We Know

The news agency Reuters, citing its own sources, reported that the release of Assassin's Creed Jade may be postponed to 2025.

As a reason, journalists point to the decision of Tencent to transfer "hundreds of game designers" who work on Assassin's Creed Jade, to complete the production of another mobile project - DreamStar.

Ubisoft and Tencent do not confirm this information, however, they did not promise anything.

Let's remind, judging by the previously presented footage, Assassin's Creed Jade is extremely similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey: it has the same concept, open world structure and gameplay, but due to the fact that mobile platforms are significantly inferior in power to PC and consoles, Assassin's Creed Jade can't boast the same technology.

The game will be released on Android and iOS.
