Samsung plans to update Enterprise Edition tablets for 8 years
Samsung announced with the release of the Galaxy S24 earlier this year that it was going to update some of its devices for 7 years. Now it has been revealed that gadgets with the Enterprise Edition prefix will get even longer support.
Here's What We Know
This was revealed by a Samsung representative from the Netherlands on his LinkedIn page. We are talking about Enterprise Edition tablets that came out in 2024 or later. The devices will receive 8 major updates to the operating system. The update so far only applies to the Galaxy Tab Active 5, which debuted in January. Later, the Korean manufacturer will release other gadgets as well.
As for Enterprise Edition smartphones like the Galaxy Xcover 7, Samsung will provide 7 years of support, just like for the Galaxy S24 series flagships.
