Insider: Microsoft is developing a prototype of its own handheld console that will run modern games natively
More and more information indicates that Microsoft is developing its own Xbox-branded handheld gaming console.
Previously, journalist and insider Jez Corden only hinted at such a possibility, but now he talks about it confidently.
Here's What We Know
On the Xbox Two podcast, Jez Corden revealed that the US corporation is currently developing a prototype of its own handheld.
He specified that unlike the streaming device PlayStation Portal from Sony, which works only in conjunction with the PS5 and is not able to independently run games, a similar console from Xbox will be provided with a powerful iron. which will allow natively run enough technological games without the use of cloud services or the need for a constant connection to the Internet.
Jez Corden is not sure if this device will go into full production, but a few days ago we wrote that a certain prototype from Xbox has passed certification in South Korea and it is quite possible that this is the portable console.
Given that the head of Xbox Phil Spencer has repeatedly confessed his personal love for portable and the high popularity of such devices on the market today, there is nothing sensational in the fact that Microsoft also decided to release a portable console and try to compete with Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, ASUS Rog Ally, MSI Claw and many other gadgets from little-known companies.
Recall, according to insider information and NVIDIA is developing a new handheld console based on its own technology.
