Leaked: Samsung Galaxy M55 will get a record-extending selfie camera and a flagship charger
Samsung is gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone that can match the high-end Galaxy S smartphones in some aspects. The Galaxy M55 is a sister model to the Galaxy A55, but it has some features that are even better than the Galaxy A55.
Here's What We Know
Our colleagues at MSPowerUser have managed to find out that the Galaxy M55 will get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits in auto-brightness mode. The smartphone will get a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The device will get a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. What makes the Galaxy M55 special is the presence of a record-breaking 50MP selfie camera, making it the most powerful selfie camera among all Samsung smartphones. The phone is also claimed to have dual video recording, night shooting and 4K stabilised video with OIS and VDIS.
As previously reported, the Galaxy M55 will feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB inbuilt storage. It also has a microSD card slot. It runs Android 14 (One UI 6.x) and will reportedly receive five Android updates. The smartphone will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and will also support 45W fast charging.
Other features of the phone include audio with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and Samsung Knox Vault. The smartphone will weigh just 180 grams. It will be available in mint/light green and dark blue colour variants. There is no information about the announcement date and price of the device yet.
