In a legal dispute between Musk's company and CCDH, it turned out that CCDH had published a report stating that hate speech was not controlled on platform X. Users published both racist and anti-Semitic statements on the platform.

Here's What We Know

CCDH is an acronym for the Centre to Combat Digital Hate. This organisation focuses on identifying and countering hate speech online. Last year, the CCDH concluded that Company X was not effectively addressing hate speech posted by 99% of its paid users. In addition, they noted that the platform had failed to take appropriate action in response to more than 200 cases of overtly racist and anti-Semitic posts.

In response to the CCDH's accusations of insufficient control over hate speech on Platform X, Musk's company decided to file a lawsuit against it. She accused CCDH of provoking panic, which led to significant financial losses from advertising revenue. In addition, the lawsuit stated that CCDH had violated the terms of service and used data from their platform to create false reports.

After hearing the case, the federal judge decided to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Mask X against CCDH. The court recognised that the main purpose of the lawsuit was not to condemn CCDH for misinformation, but to punish them for criticism. The court also pointed out that Musk's company did not provide sufficient evidence to prove financial losses from CCDH's actions, nor did it prove that CCDH's publications contained false information.
