The Elder Scrolls has turned thirty years old!
The Elder Scrolls is one of the most famous and popular game franchises and today it turns thirty years old!
Here's What We Know
Bethesda is proud of the popularity that TES has gained and congratulated themselves and fans on the game's beautiful anniversary.
The first instalment of The Elder Scrolls, subtitled Arena, was released on 25 March 1994 and was not originally intended to be a fantasy RPG. A young team of developers wanted to release a simulation of gladiatorial fights, but during the production process the game grew into something more and made a huge contribution to the development of role-playing games.
Since then there have been four numbered instalments, each of which has been increasingly popular, and several spin-offs, as well as the sought-after MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online and the mobile games The Elder Scrolls: Blades and the new The Elder Scrolls: Castles.
Interest in the games of this series is not fading and the public is eagerly awaiting The Elder Scrolls VI, which was announced in 2018. Today it is known that TES6 is still in the early stages of production and for now we can not even guess when it will be released.
