Microsoft has a new head of Windows and Surface
Microsoft has announced the appointment of Pavan Davuluri as the new head of Windows and Surface.
Here's What We Know
The move is the result of a reorganisation in the company following the dismissal of Panos Panay, who joined Amazon last year. Meanwhile, Russian Mikhail Parakhin, who previously led these areas, is moving to a new position in the company.
Davuluri has worked at Microsoft for more than 23 years and was actively involved in the company's work with Qualcomm and AMD to create special processors for Surface.
Microsoft is strengthening its artificial intelligence team with the arrival of Mustafa Suleiman and the Inflection AI team.
Microsoft's management confirms that the Windows and Microsoft AI teams will work closely together, especially in areas of possible overlap. The decision also means that Microsoft AI will now be responsible for the development of key products such as Copilot, Bing, and Edge.
