ChatGPT scams are flooding YouTube

A new type of cryptocurrency-related scam has been spreading on YouTube lately. Scammers use actors hired on Fiverr who don't realise what they are reading. They talk about creating a bot using ChatGPT that supposedly helps you earn passive income with cryptocurrencies.

Here's What We Know

The videos follow the same scenario. They begin with an actor saying that he personally created a bot that allows anyone to make money without any real programming knowledge. The actors then warn that there are many scammers in the cryptocurrency community, so it's important not to interact with "unknown wallets" and "unknown exchanges."

The script then moves on to where you can copy code that can be pasted into a website that will supposedly perform a so-called front-end run on cryptocurrency transactions. For all of this to work, of course, you need to connect your cryptocurrency wallet.

However, if you try to execute the code in the video, you'll just send your cryptocurrencies to one of the many wallets controlled by anonymous scammers. Thus, anyone who follows the instructions in the video will not earn a cent, but instead will send their cryptocurrencies to the scammers.

Example of a fraudulent Youtube channel

Not all fraudulent videos appear in search results. They may also appear in the form of paid adverts. Also, the comments under such videos are overwhelmingly positive, which is clearly the result of some botnet trying to give the scammers credibility.

So you should realise that if you come across such videos about easy cryptocurrency earnings, it's most likely that scammers are at work.
