Samsung has officially announced the expansion of Galaxy AI features on 2023 devices like the Galaxy S23 and Tab S9. The Galaxy AI suite includes a dozen different features including Live Translate, Chat Assist, Generative Edit, Circle to Search and many more. From 28 March, these features will be available on select Samsung Galaxy 2023 devices, including the Galaxy S23, Tab S9, Fold 5 and Flip 5. But as it turns out, not all features will be universally supported.

Here's What We Know

Samsung says that some Galaxy AI features won't be available for some devices. For example, the Galaxy S23 FE won't get the "Instant Slow-Mo" feature in the Gallery app, which allows users to turn individual video snippets into slow motion, even if the video is shot in normal mode. Additionally, "Live Translate" will not be available on Wi-Fi-only versions of the Galaxy Tab S9, as the feature is designed to translate phone calls in real-time. However, it will be available on the 5G version.

The only Galaxy AI feature that will only be available on Galaxy S24 devices is the "Photo Ambient Wallpaper" which shows weather conditions and can change based on the current conditions.

Samsung claims that the rest of the Galaxy AI features, which you can check out in a separate piece, will be available on Galaxy 2023 devices.

The One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S23, Tab S9, Fold 5 and Flip 5 line of smartphones will start rolling out from 28 March.
