Accessory maker Dbrand cancels Ghost Case model due to scratching issues
Popular smartphone accessory manufacturer Dbrand has announced that it is cancelling its plan to fix the scratching problem with its transparent Ghost Case. Instead, the company will replace it with a new design.
Here's What We Know
In November last year, Dbrand promised a free replacement of cases with a scratch-resistant coating. However, the company said that the large-scale production process was not suitable for deliveries. Instead, the company will release a redesigned Ghost 2.0 this summer.
Dbrand's CEO explained that although Dbrand has stopped actively developing the original Ghost model, it still has stock. He also said that everyone who has a Ghost will receive the updated model for free.
The problem with scratches in Ghost cases has been a recurring issue, and although Dbrand has developed an anti-scratch coating, it has not been effective enough. The manufacturer is now focusing on developing a new design to solve this problem.
Other details regarding the new body and coating, as well as how Dbrand plans to solve the scratch problem, remain unknown for now.
