Samsung a few weeks ago revealed the Galaxy A55 5G smartphone with a new Exynos 1480 processor on board, and now the company has revealed the detailed specifications of the SoC.

Here's What We Know

Exynos 1480 is an octa-core chipset that is built using 4-nanometre process technology. Thanks to this, the SoC has become 22% more efficient than the Exynos 1380. The novelty was also equipped with two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.75 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. In comparison, the Exynos 1380 runs at a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz.

The Exynos 1480 comes with Xclipse 530 graphics, which is built on AMD's RDNA 2 architecture. According to Samsung, the chip is 53 per cent faster performance than the Exynos 1380. The SoC supports LPDDR4x memory, LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1, as well as cameras up to 200 MP, FHD+ displays up to 144 Hz, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The novelty comes with a 5G modem.
