The Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Authority has fined Amazon $7.8 million for misleading customers about the availability of goods and delivery dates.

Here's What We Know

The regulator received many complaints from customers that they did not receive their orders. According to Tomasz Chrostny, the head of the department, the consumer has the right to honest information from the seller regarding the availability of goods and delivery time. Chrostny also added that they have too many questions about the time counter, which shows when the order should arrive at the buyer.

At the same time, Amazon said it would appeal the decision. The company emphasised that it does everything possible to provide its customers with the highest level of service and is ready to fix any shortcomings that may arise in the ordering and delivery process.
