New Chrome feature on Android to remind users of open tabs
Google is about to release a new update for the Chrome browser on the Android platform that will help users better manage a large number of open tabs.
Here's What We Know
This feature, called "Android Tab Declutter", will be available in Chrome version 125, which is expected to be released in May this year.
"Android Tab Declutter automatically archives or deletes inactive tabs, which helps to conserve device resources and maintain an organised workflow. It is not yet known whether users will be able to choose how to handle tabs. However, according to Chrome Story, it is likely that owners will be able to view abandoned tabs even after they are archived.
In addition, Chrome is also getting picture-in-picture support for custom tabs. This feature facilitates multitasking by allowing users to collapse tabs into a floating panel while browsing in other Android apps.
