In Ukraine, the Ratel Deminer remote mine-clearing trawl was developed as part of the Brave1 defence cluster.

Here's What We Know

The Ratel Deminer is a remote system that detects and neutralises anti-personnel mines, primarily designed to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.

The mine trawler has a daytime vision camera that improves control, and it can destroy common types of mines such as PFM-1, PMN-4, PMN-3 and PMN-2. Ratel Deminer's developers have already conducted tests in real-world conditions, for example, it was used for humanitarian demining of anti-personnel mines near Sviatohirsk, Donetsk Oblast.

The complex has been awarded BRV1 status, which means that the development has been identified as a priority for the Ukrainian army. The trawl is currently being improved and refined. By the way, this is not the first development from this manufacturer to go through Brave1. They have also created the Ratel S and Ratel M kamikaze ground robots.
