GTA VI development under full control: another reputable journalist denied Kotaku's information about the game's postponement to 2026
The public discussion about the success of GTA VI development and the likelihood of its postponement to 2026 continues.
Kotaku portal was the first to report about the possibility of delaying the release, after which his words were denied by Insider Gaming senior editor Mike Straw.
Now Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier also expressed his opinion.
Here's What We Know
Schreier commented on the Kotaku article and agreed with his colleague from Insider Gaming, calling fears about the postponement of Grand Theft Auto VI premature.
The journalist has information that despite the fact that back in the summer an anonymous developer told him that the process of creating GTA VI is extremely chaotic, at the moment Rockstar is in full control of the development of the game, on which thousands of people are working.
Jason Schreier emphasised that the work of all departments is clearly divided and everyone is doing their own thing. Of course, the problem at any of the stages can cause a chain reaction and lead to the postponement of GTA 6 release, but now there is no reason to worry. In addition, such a probability exists in absolutely any major project - this is a working moment and should not be sensationalised.
Schreier noted that we should not worry about the 5.2% drop in the value of Take-Two shares, which occurred because of the Kotaku article. According to the journalist, there are no objective reasons for such a rapid depreciation of shares and most likely this situation is short-term. He noted that such an inadequate reaction in the securities market of gaming companies is quite common.
