According to the data, the build number of this version will be 21F5048f. The beta version is expected to be available for testing this week.
9to5Mac researchers have also confirmed that there is increasing evidence of iOS 17.5 in Google Analytics data, indicating that the update is in the works.
The previous update, iOS 17.4, was released on 5 March with numerous new features, such as support for alternative app stores in the European Union, transcripts in Apple Podcasts, improved anti-theft protection, and Siri enhancements.
Nevertheless, there is no detailed information about the innovations in iOS 17.5 yet. However, Apple warns that additional changes are coming for iPhone users in the European Union, in particular, in connection with the implementation of the Digital Markets Act. One of the expected changes is the ability to download apps directly from developers' websites, which is likely to be included in iOS 17.5.
