NaVi becomes the first team to win the Counter-Strike 2 Major

On 31 March, PGL Major Copenhagen, the first Major in the Counter-Strike 2 esports discipline, ended. The winner was the Ukrainian organisation Natus Vincere.

"Born to Win met FaZe in the final. The winner was the team that would win on 2 maps. Ancient NaVi took the first map with a score of 13:9, but lost on Mirage (13:2). Everything went to the decisive Inferno map, where Natus Vincere left no chance for the opponent and confidently won (13:3).

Justinas "jL" Lekavicius became the best player of the tournament. He finished the competition with a rating of 1.22. The best map for the Lithuanian was the final Inferno against FaZe, where jL finished the confrontation with a rating of 1.90.

The team received $500 000 for the victory. The next tournament for NaVi will be ESL Pro League S19, which will take place from 23 April to 12 May in Malta.

An important event during the finals was that the Ukrainian broadcast raised more than UAH 5 million for the needs of AZOV. The owner of Natus Vincere, Maxim Krippa, doubled this amount to send even more money to the defenders of Ukraine.
