PlayStation 5 version of Hi-Fi Rush looks 'slightly better' than Xbox Series X version of game - Digital Foundry
The former Microsoft platform exclusive, Hi-Fi Rush, has been released on PlayStation 5 as part of Microsoft's efforts to expand its games to other platforms. Interestingly, while the Sony and Xbox Series X versions have almost identical visual and technical aspects, the PlayStation 5 version is slightly ahead in terms of shadow quality, according to an analysis by Digital Foundry.
Here's What We Know
According to Digital Foundry, the PlayStation 5 port of Hi-Fi Rush is on par with the Xbox Series X version in terms of textures, filtering, and world detail. However, the PS5 version shines with a higher resolution shadow rendering throughout the game. Nevertheless, the analysis emphasises that the differences between the two versions are minimal, and there is little to distinguish them.
It is worth noting the irony that the console that Hi-Fi Rush slightly favours is not its native platform.
