Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde will screen a comic book from the creator of "Deadpool" called "Avengelyne"
Judging by the fresh information, in the near future we are waiting for a superhero film created by Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde.
Here's What We Know
The women have combined their directing, and possibly acting, skills with X-Men producer Simon Kinberg to screen Avengelyne, a comic book character created by Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld.
Robbie is set to produce the film through his company LuckyChap, and Wilde will direct the film. Kinberg, the writer and producer of "X-Men," will also produce the film.
It is not yet clear if Robbie will play the lead role of the Avenger or if that task will be entrusted to someone else.
Here's What The Movie Is About
According to the synopsis from Maximum Press/Image Comics:
The Avenger is an angel who fights the forces of evil and often finds herself face to face with demons and monsters. She was the most formidable warrior in the Heavenly Host, having single-handedly stormed Pandemonium, the outer fortress of Hell, to confront the Devil himself. She is a fallen angel, banished from Heaven by God after being tricked into doubting his love for humans. The Avenger has been stripped of all angelic powers except her great strength and blood, which, once extracted from her body, can be used as a weapon or miracle once enhanced by quoting Bible verses. The Avenger uses her powers to fight demons on earth, and she is being groomed to be humanity's last hope in the coming Armageddon.
The project doesn't have a home yet, so the creative team will try to sell the film to studios and streaming services in the coming weeks.
